Renowned Naat poet Wafa Chishti has said that Muslims are immensely fortunate to have been blessed by Allah Almighty with being members of the Ummah of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (SAW). He said that there could be no greater honour for humanity than the fact that the Holy Prophet (SAW) is the beloved of Allah Almighty. Today, the Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) serves as a profound reference and guiding light towards the Sirat-ul-Mustaqeem (the Straight Path) for all humanity.
He expressed these views while presiding over a Mehfil-e-Naat organized by the Nazriya Pakistan Council Trust in connection with EidMilad-un-Nabi (SAW). He said that the remarkable advancement of modern science is also indebted, in many respects, to the guidance provided by the Holy Quran. He observed that many of the facts and phenomena being discovered by science today had already been indicated in the Holy Quran more than fourteen centuries ago.
The chief guest and senior member of the Executive Council of the Nazriya Pakistan Council Trust, Ambassador Salahuddin Chaudhry, said that the first word of the Divine Revelation received by the Holy Prophet (SAW) was “Iqra”, meaning “Read.” He said that the Nazriya Pakistan Council Trust had also undertaken the mission of providing education to out-of-school children. Under Taleem Network Pakistan (TNP), two schools have been established in the suburban areas of Islamabad, where children are being provided with opportunities to acquire education and build a better future.
He further said that Islam teaches peace, harmony, tolerance and brotherhood. These noble teachings, he added, have enabled Muslims to attain a distinctive and dignified position among the nations of the world.
Earlier, Hameed Qaiser, Director Media & Programs, in his opening remarks, said that the first death anniversary of the late Zahid Malik, Founding Chairman of the Nazriya Pakistan Council Trust, falls on September 1. He said that the late Zahid Malik had always arranged such spiritually uplifting and blessed gatherings, both within and outside the Council, on the occasion of EidMilad-un-Nabi (SAW) and other religious and national occasions. He observed that the soul of the late Zahid Malik would certainly be pleased to see that the tradition established by him was still being carried forward at the institution he had founded. During the Mehfil-e-Naat, Hafiz Saad Abbasi, Adil Ahmed Farooq Naqshbandi, and Wafa Chishti, who presided over the gathering, presented their Urdu and SaraikiNaats and received warm appreciation from the audience.
